Around 160 thousand computers will be produced in 2020 for first-graders of Turkmenistan by the joint venture Agzybirlik tilsimaty. The corresponding Decree “in order to create favorable conditions for young people to receive modern education, as well as to present computers as a gift to schoolchildren in the first grade of the country's secondary schools in the 2020-2021 academic year,” was signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today.
The document allowed the Ministry of Education to conclude a contract with the joint venture Agzybirlik tilsimaty for the purchase of 159,374 computers manufactured in Turkmenistan, their installation until August 25, 2020 in educational institutions and maintenance.
In Turkmenistan, computers have been presented to students of the first classes of secondary schools in the country on behalf of the head of state since 2011. Over the past few years, they have been manufactured by the Agzybirlik tilsimaty enterprise of the Computer Technology Center of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan.
At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers last week, the President of Turkmenistan instructed to study the issue of establishing production at the Agzybirlik tilsimaty enterprise of various types of computers, including stationary, laptops and tablets.
